Ubisoft will launch the expansion The Tyranny of King Washington, which reimagines America's first president as a ruthless king. Multiple historical figures make cameos in the game, including Paul Revere and George Washington. In order to save the world from a catastrophic event, Desmond must use a device to revisit the memories of his ancestors.Īssassin's Creed III follows Connor, a Native American killer fending off British forces during the American Revolution in the late 1700s. The franchise is based on Desmond Miles, the descendant of a line of assassins going as far back as The Crusades. 'We knew we had something special on our hands when Assassin's Creed 3 was launched, and we're really excited and proud to see how much fans are enjoying the latest installment in the franchise,' says Ubisoft's Geoffroy Sardin in a statement. The publisher announced Assassin's Creed III has sold more than 7 million copies worldwide, making it the fastest-selling title in the company's history. The voyage to America for action series Assassin's Creed has proven lucrative for Ubisoft.
